ThaiNow NFTs เป็นกลุ่มของคนรักศิลปะกลุ่มแรกในเมืองแอลเอ ลอสแองเจลิส ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา

พวกเราเกิดจากการรวมตัวกันของกลุ่มคนไทยที่รักศิลปะและประกอบอาชีพศิลปิน ก่อนอื่นเราต้องทำความเข้าใจกันก่อนว่า การอาศัยและการประกอบอาชีพในประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกานั้น “ไม่ได้ง่ายอย่างที่คิด”

แม้ว่าอเมริกาจะเป็นประเทศแห่ง “โอกาส”และความใฝ่ฝันของใครหลายคนที่มองหาช่องทางในการ “สร้างรายได้” แต่ด้วยเนื่องจากค่าครองชีพที่สูง ทำให้เราต่างต้องเอาตัวรอดด้วยการทำงานตามร้านอาหาร หรือร้านนวดต่างๆ มันคงจะดีถ้าบุคคลนั้นๆมีความชอบใน “อาชีพ” ที่ทำ แต่ก็มีอีกหลายคนที่ทำไปเพราะไม่มีทางเลือกมากนัก

วันนี้เราจะพามารู้จักกับสมาชิกของกลุ่ม ThaiNow NFTs ว่ามีใครกันบ้าง

อ๊อด หรือที่เราชาวแอลเอเรียกกันว่า “พี่อ๊อด น้าอ๊อด” เป็นศิลปินรุ่นเก๋าที่ใครๆก็ต่างรู้จัก พี่อ๊อดเล่าให้เราฟังว่า ตนเป็นคนชอบงานศิลปะมาก โดยเฉพาะงานภาพสีน้ำ เริ่มแรกมาอเมริกาเพราะอยากมาหาโอกาสเหมือนกับคนอื่นๆ แต่แล้วก็ไม่เป็นอย่างที่คิด เพราะตนต้องไปทำงานที่ตัวเองไม่ได้ชอบในการหาเลี้ยงชีพและดูแลครอบครัว แต่ก็ไม่เคยละทิ้งความฝันของตัวเอง เวลาว่างๆก็มักจะแบ่งเงินไปซื้ออุปกรณ์ศิลปะเพื่อมาวาดภาพสีน้ำ แต่ก็ยังขายไม่ค่อยได้ เพราะยังไม่เป็นที่รู้จักเท่าไหร่ และสังคมไทยก็ยังไม่สนใจมากนัก

เวลาผ่านไป 17 ปี… พี่อ๊อดก็ยังไม่ยอมแพ้กับความฝัน ยังคงวาดภาพต่อไปเมื่อมีเวลา จนถึงวันที่พี่อ๊อดทำงานจนส่งลูกสาวเรียนจบ ตนจึงออกจากงานที่ตนไม่ได้ชอบ เพื่อทำความฝันของตัวเอง ถึงแม้ว่าในตอนนี้ตัวเองจะแก่แล้วก็ตาม โดยพี่อ๊อดบอกเสมอว่า อยากให้คนไทยทุกคนเห็นคุณค่าในงานศิลปะ และอยากสนับสนุนให้คนไทยทุกคนกล้าที่จะแสดงความสามารถทางศิลปะออกมา โดยหวังว่าการสร้างชุมชน ThaiNow NFTs จะเป็นอีกช่องทางนึงให้ทุกคนได้แสดงผลงานและพิสูจน์ให้เห็นว่า “ศิลปินไม่ได้ไส้แห้งเสมอไป”

T1 ศิลปินผู้ไม่เปิดเผยชื่อ แต่เปิดหน้า?

T1 เป็นนามแฝงของศิลปินหนุ่มไฟแรง ที่จบจากมหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา โดยเขาได้จบจากสาขาจิตรกรรม จากนั้นโชคชะตาก็ได้นำพาเขามาที่ “อเมริกา ดินแดนแห่งขุมทรัพย์เงินทอง”

แต่ทว่า T1 นั้นไม่ได้สนใจเรื่อง “การเสาะแสวงหาเงินทอง” ทำให้คนอื่นมองเขาว่าแปลก เพราะ “ความฝัน” ทำให้ T1 ต้องตัดสินใจเลือก ระหว่าง “ศิลปะ และ เงินทอง” หลังจากที่ T1 ได้ใช้ชีวิตที่อเมริกาเป็นเวลา 5 ปีแล้ว เขาได้ค้นพบว่า แม้ว่าเขาจะต้องไปทำงานอื่นๆที่รายได้ดี ทำให้คุณภาพชีวิตของเขาดีขึ้น แต่เขาก็ไม่ได้มีความสุขและภูมิใจกับชีวิตเลย สุดท้ายความฝันของเขาก็ยังคงอยู่ T1 เขาจึงตัดสินใจเลือกความฝันและสละวันทำงานน้อยลง เพื่อฝึกฝนฝีมือให้เก่งขึ้น ตอนนี้ฝีมือเขาพัฒนาขึ้นมาก เขามีลูกค้าที่ซื้อภาพวาดเขามากมาย เขาได้พิสูจน์ให้เห็นได้ว่าศิลปะก็สามารถทำเงินได้และหาเลี้ยงชีพได้

ถึงตอนนี้ความฝันยังดำเนินต่อไป เขาต้องปรับตัวให้เข้ากับยุคสมัยและมองหาช่องทางใหม่ๆ นั่นก็คือ ThaiNow NFTs โดย collection แรกของเขาคือ “Gen War” เรื่องราวสงครามระหว่างคนรุ่นเก่าและคนรุ่นใหม่ โดยถ่ายทอดผ่านตัวละคร ทศกัณฐ์ เป็นตัวแทนของคนรุ่นเก่าที่ไม่ยอมความเปลี่ยนแปลงใดๆ และ หนุมาน เด็กเนิร์ดที่ฉลาดสุดๆ เป็นตัวแทนของคนรุ่นใหม่ โดยงานใน collection นี้มีทั้งหมด 3 ภาพด้วยกัน เรื่องราวจะเริ่มต้นและจบลงยังไงนั้นติดตามที่ Foundation เร็วๆนี้

แก้ว นักวาดภาพประกอบสาว ดีกรีปริญญาโทที่ Academy of art, San Francisco สาขาภาพประกอบ

แก้วเป็นนักวาดภาพประกอบฟรีแลนซ์อยู่แล้ว เธอชื่นชอบการวาดภาพเป็นที่สุด โดยเฉพาะภาพ “Portrait” หรือ ภาพเสมือนจริง ไม่ว่าไปที่ไหนเธอมักจะพกไอแพดและอุปกรณ์สีน้ำเล็กๆสำหรับวาดภาพโดยเฉพาะ แก้วมาอเมริกาเมื่อ 5 ปีก่อน เธอใช้ชีวิตเหมือนคนอื่นๆ แต่สิ่งที่ทำให้เธอรู้สึกแตกต่างคือ “ศิลปะ” เธออยากทำงานด้านศิลปะมากๆ เธอจึงพยายามทุกวิถีทาง รวมถึงการเรียนต่อระดับปริญญาโท แก้วรู้ดีว่าการเรียนปริญญาโทของอเมริกานั้นแพงมากๆ แต่เธอก็ยังเลือกและเรียนจนจบ แก้วสนใจในการหาช่องทางประกอบอาชีพจนมารู้จักกับ ThaiNow NFTs และได้ออกคอลแลคชั่นแรกของเธอ ชื่อว่า “Human Being” โดยมีคอนเซปท์คือถ้าบนโลกนี้มีคนแค่ 100 คน แต่ละคนจะหน้าตาเป็นยังไงนะ?

โดยผลงานของเธอมีสไตล์และลายเส้นที่โดดเด่นไม่เหมือนใคร ภาพทุกภาพของแก้วใช้การวาดมือและใช้เวลาในการออกแบบเพื่อให้คาแรคเตอร์แต่ละตัวแตกต่างและมีจุดเด่นของตนเอง โดยเธอยังตั้งชื่อให้กับตัวละครของเธออีกด้วย ที่สำคัญมีจำกัดเพียงแค่ 100 ภาพเท่านั้น! ใครประมูลไปก่อน ได้ไปก่อนนะ

โบ เด็กเอกจีนกับเส้นทางสู่วงการศิลปะ

โบสาวเอกจีนที่ผันตนมาเป็น Graphic Designer ย้อนกลับไปเมื่อหลายปีก่อน โบ เป็นนักศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยกรุงเทพ โบชอบศิลปะตั้งแต่เด็กๆ แต่เพราะครอบครัวไม่สนับสนุน จึงต้องเรียนภาษาจีนแทน เมื่อเรียนจบครอบครัวอยากให้โบไปช่วยงานที่บ้าน แต่โบรู้ตัวดีว่าเธอไม่ชอบภาษาจีน และภาษาจีนกับศิลปะดูเหมือนจะเป็นอะไรที่สวนทางกัน โบจึงปรึกษาครอบครัวและขอมาตามหาความฝันที่อเมริกา และเลือกเรียนสาขา Graphic design สุดท้ายได้มารู้จักกันทุกคนจนเกิดมาเป็น ThaiNow NFTs ตอนนี้โบได้ทำงานที่ตนเองชอบและได้ออกผลงานสไตล์ Graphic ชื่อว่า “We are all chicken”

ThaiNowNFTs, a group of art lovers fighting for life in LA

ThaiNowNFTs are the first group of art lovers in LA, Los Angeles, USA.

We were born from a group of Thai people who love art and work as artists. First of all, we need to understand that. Living and working in the United States “Not as easy as you think”

Although America is a country of “Opportunity” and the ambition of many people who are looking for a way to “make money”, but also because of the high cost of living, we all have to survive by working in restaurants or other jobs. It would have been nice if the person like their “career” but there were many people didn’t like their jobs because they didn’t have much choice.

Today we will introduce you the artist of ThaiNowNFTs group, Let’s see who are they and what did they do for living?

Ord, or we know as “P’Ord or Uncle Ord” is a veteran artist that everyone knows. P’Ord told us that he loves art art, especially watercolor. He came to America because he wanted to look for opportunities like everyone else. But then it’s not what he thinks. because he had to go to work that he did not like in order to earn money and take care of his family, but he never gave up on his own dreams. In his spare time, he often spends money to buy art supplies to paint watercolors. But still rarely sell. because it is not yet known, And Thai society is still not very interested.

After 17 years… P’Ord still hasn’t given up on his dream. He continues drawing when he has time. Until the day that P’Ord worked until his daughter to graduated. So, he quit the job that he didn’t like, to find his dreams Even though he is getting old. P’Ord always said that, I want all Thai people to see the value in art and would like to encourage all Thai people to have the courage to show their artistic talents” We hoped that building ThaiNowNFTs community will be other ways for everyone to show their work and prove that “Artists don’t always poor.”

T1, an artist who remains anonymous but opens the face?

T1 is a young artist. Graduated from Burapha University, Chonburi, His major is painting. Then fate brought him to “America, land of wealth and gold”.

But T1 doesn’t care about money pursuit. that made others think he is strange because his “dream” forced T1 to decide between “art and money.” After T1 spent five years living in America, he discovered that Even if he had to do other well-paying jobs. improve his quality of life but he wasn’t happy and proud of himself. In the end, his dream is still remained, so he decided to choose his dream and reduce workdays. to practice skills to be better, now his skill has improved a lot. He had many customers who bought his paintings. He proved that art could make money to support a living.

Until now his dream is continuing. He has to adapt to the ways and look for new market: that is ThaiNowNFTs. His first collection is “Gen War”, a story about the war between the old generation the young generation. By conveying through the characters, Ravana is a representative of the older generation who does not tolerate any changes and Hanuman, the nerdy child who is extremely smart. Representing the new generation, the work in this collection has a total of 3 images. How does the story begin and end?

Kaew, an illustrator Master’s degree at the Academy of art, San Francisco in Illustration.

Kaew, is already a freelance illustrator. She enjoys drawing the most of the time, especially “Portrait” Wherever she goes, she always brings her iPad and small watercolor tools for painting. Kaew came to America 5 years ago. She lives like everyone else. But what makes her feel different is “Art”. She really wants to work in art. So, she tried every possible way to get a job. including studying for a master’s degree. Kaew knows that studying for a master’s degree in America is very expensive. But she still chooses and completes her studies. Kaew was interested in finding a career path until she became an artist of ThaiNowNFTs and launched her first collection, “Human Being”, with the concept of “if there are only 100 people in the world”. What will you look like?

Her work has a unique style and lines. Every image of her work is hand-drawn and takes time to design so each character is unique. She also gave her character a name. Most importantly, it’s limited to only 100 images! Whoever bids first gets to go first.

Bo, Chinese student major and path to the art industry

Bo, a Chinese major student who turned into a Graphic Designer, back to many years ago. Bo is a normal child. Bo loved art since childhood. but because the family does not support therefore had to learn Chinese instead. After graduating from university, the family wanted Bo to help with the business. But Bo knows that she doesn’t like Chinese. And Chinese language and art seem to be contradicting each other. So, Bo told her family and asks them to come and find her dream in America. And choose to study Graphic design. Finally, she got to know everyone until became as ThaiNowNFTs. Now Bo is working what she likes and has released a Graphic style NFTs called “We are all chicken“.
